Hi Ann! It is warm, but light. IDepending upon the gauge you could create a fairly dense, or a fairly lightweight sweater - I have a shawl that I wear in this throught spring, so I think a lot depends upon the pattern!

Question: How warm is this yarn? A friend of mine spun a mutual friend's Samoyed fuzz. She knitted a sweater but could never wear it unless the temperature outside was colder than -40 F.

I love love love fabulous yarn and their selection of artyarns....I want to make a Joseph's coat of many colors with artyarns beaded silk...sometimes I get the wrong colors because of my monitor but can you imagine what kind of damage I could do if I ever walked into the store and actually saw them...touched them...coveted them...

2) Is there a different April contest, for garments made from yarns bought here? I have a

Dream and Win inspiration

As I sit here reading "Dream and Win" I think of things now and then. Browsing through soft cotton colors and fingers itch and hunger. Little dresses float through my mind in bright yellow or aubergine. My baby girl dressed in Mommy's work, in diaper covers and knitted shorts. Laying on a pool side blankie or snuggled up for long car ride nappie. Playing peek-a-boo with the dog then all curled up after playing hard. Begging Mom to tie her cape; oh how I can not wait. To watch her chase Dad down the hall, waving her handmade ball. To knit for her till she says "No way". To make her bright and colorful things till she asks for Mom's slate grey sweater. Someone to knit for, to me nothing better. To show my love and watch grow my darling little dove. To know no matter where she goes, she'll find comfort in Mom's knitted hug. To find old knitted things and remember important things. Rolling with Dad on the floor, playing with the dog a game of tug-of-war. Of begging Mom not to knit for her, then turning around and softly asking for just one more. Of listing to Mom's needles and Dad's deep voice. Of bedtime stories and of course, Dad's monster hunts. All this memories all wrapped up in Mom's knits and Daddy's love. So I sit here and browse the yarns, of slate grey and warm sunshine. Dreaming of blankets, little sweaters, and other clothes for warmer weather. Fabulous yarns leading to fabulous memories.

It is either on Ravelry - Forest Flow Vest or Jane Thornley's site Branches & Dunes Evocative guide. Her stuff is more guide / recipe - I used the stitch to create several items - poncho, cowls, infinity scarves - see my projects on Ravelry.

On Jane's site it is the Branches & Dunes Evocative Guide - on Ravelry it is under Forest Flow Vest. Her patterns are actually guides ... I modified to come up with the cowl & shawl
